Brainstorming Workshop: Integration of renewable energy sources into the electrical grid

May 17th 2018
A «Brainstorming Workshop » took place in the framework of the European Cooperation Network on Energy Transition in Electricity, TR@NSENER project. This workshop was organised by Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (CTA) with the collaboration of the TR@NSENER Consortium. More that 60 participants attended this session.

The aim of this workshop was to foster the development of collaborative R&D projects between Universities and companies aimed at improving the efficiency and sustainability of the electrical grid. Special attention will be devoted to solutions aimed at improving the integration of renewable energy sources (RES) into the electrical grid: novel storage systems, etc. To do so, H2020 topics from the “Societal challenge: Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy” had been selected and gathered so three working groups were organized in order to allow the event attendees to present their capabilities, match ideas and address topic scopes. These working groups and the corresponding topics were:
Energy Efficiency
LC-SC3-EE-4-2019-2020: Upgrading smartness of existing buildings through innovations for legacy equipment
LC-SC3-EE-13-2018-2019-2020: Enabling next-generation of smart energy services valorising energy efficiency and flexibility at demand-side as energy resource
LC-SC3-EE-14-2018-2019-2020: Socio-economic research conceptualising and modelling energy efficiency and energy demand
